In a street interview published June 20, 2026, Tradecon Media featured Lakewood Home Services and asked how the water filtration business got where it is. The answer was not a shortcut. It was the opposite of one.

The company's view is that most businesses fail because people get excited, try to grow big too quickly, and do not stay small enough long enough. The long-term grind is the point.

Lakewood Home Services was built the slow way, on steady work across Sarasota and Bradenton: water filtration, softeners, reverse osmosis, and pool care, done properly and backed by a free in-home water test. The philosophy shared on camera was simple. School teaches you to a point, but real-world experience is where a business is actually learned, and the company chose “hard knocks” without blinking.

The interview also flipped a saying most people get backwards. It is not what you know. It is who you know, and that matters more.

One practical credit given on camera: the software. Lakewood runs on Jobber, which ended the days of scheduling by hand across Google and paper systems, and let the office and the field work off the same page.
